I tried out masking fluid for the first time, and I must say it's quite convenient and can make for interesting effects. (Used for the patterns on the balloon things.)
Her name is Camilla, and she's from a story about a group of entrepreneurs living on blimps I'm working on. :3
The colors!!!!! ^-^ I think that because there's so little white space, it makes everything far more vibrant and alive versus if you had filled those spaces in. Yet somehow, the girl is still my main focus... You've somehow magically managed to mute the vibrancy of the background to showcase the girl and her kaleidoscope without completely drowning it out of thought. Just... awesome!

Thanks for your lovely comment! I'm happy to hear that the girl still appears as the main focus, I tend to go a little overboard and forget to stop when throwing paint at the paper.
8o I've only tried masking fluid so far. Would you say the rubber cement is better? I find sometimes the masking fluid will rip off paper fibers, and the colours along with it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I also enjoy the linework for her hair.
